Rolled when the character is created. Change it with a Race Reroll from the main menu (untradable), a more expensive in-game purchase that can be traded, a trade, or a rare Gladiator drop. The exact in-game Essence price is not confirmed.

Match the perk to the build: Elf and Dark Elf reduce or increase spell output, Eldritch and Lesser Demon favor physical hits, Dryad and Lesser Angel add survival tools, and Human only raises sell price.
